There are several ski resorts over an hours drive away from Cannes.
Valberg - recommended small resort, easy access by car (1 hour 40 mins), good ski school for young children.
Auron - small resort, just under 2 hours away by car,if you have no car, there is a bus, see info below.
Isola 2000 - large resort but 2 hours away by car, if you have no car, there is a bus, see info below
Greolieres-Les-Neiges - small resort, easy access by car (1 hour 20 mins).
Beuil les Launes - small resort, easy access by car (1 hour 30 mins).
L'Audibergue - small resort, easy access by car (1 hour 30 mins).

Auron and Isola 2000 can be reached by a special ski-express bus from Santa Azur that departs from Square Mérimée in Cannes (square opposite Festival Hall). Advance booking required. Telephone: 04 93 39 79 40. Click here for more detail on the bus times.

Greoliere. There is a bus every Saturday, and daily during school holidays, from Grasse. Take the train from Cannes to Grasse: the bus leaves from the station at 8.15am and departs Greolieres at 5pm. Tel: 08 00 06 01 06
The Skibus leaves Cannes at 7am for the ski slopes of Isola 2000 and Auron every day during the holidays and every Saturday and Sunday during the season. It costs 37 euros, including a ski pass, and leaves from Square Merimee. It departs the ski resort at 5pm.
Isola 2000 can be reached by bus from Nice for just 8 euros for the round trip. You can go for a day or longer. You have to reserve a seat, see www.lignesdazur.com 100% neige.
SKI BIKING
Up to the 26 April, speed your way through Isola 2000's beautiful snow-capped peaks on your very own motoneige, or ski-bike. Trips are organised by tour group AT2000 and all outings are accompanied by a qualified guide. Both day and night-time trips are offered. Night trips include a meal at a mountain chalet.

By car, from Nice take the A8 until exit 52. Follow the signs for Isidore/Digne and then take Route National 202 for about 28km towards Digne/Grenoble. Exit on the right following the D2205 to Saint Sauveur sur Tinée/St Etienne. Isola Village is signposted from here. Once in the village, follow the D97 to Isola 2000 ski resort itself.
